It reads as old
A layout from a decade ago quietly suggests the business might be run the same way. Unfair, but it is exactly what happens, and the people who leave never tell you why.
Cardiff & South Wales
Someone searches for what you do, taps your website, and decides in seconds whether you look like a business worth trusting. If the site looks dated, or fights them on a phone, they go back and pick whoever is next. You never hear about the ones you lost.

Fixed price agreed before we start. No callout charge. Gas Safe registered engineers covering Cardiff and the valleys.
Both are the same fictional business. The only thing that changed is the website.
Why it matters
Three things turn up again and again on sites belonging to businesses that are genuinely excellent at what they do.
A layout from a decade ago quietly suggests the business might be run the same way. Unfair, but it is exactly what happens, and the people who leave never tell you why.
Text too small, buttons too fiddly, a number you cannot tap to ring. Most local searches happen on a phone, usually by somebody who needs the job doing now.
Years of glowing reviews sat on Google and none of them on the site. No photos of finished work. Nothing that convinces a stranger to choose you over the next name on the list.
Our work
Both of these are demonstration sites, designed and built by me to show the standard of work. Neither is a real business. Everything you see, layout, wording, and the interactive tools, was made from nothing.
How it works
A real, working version of your site using your services, your reviews and your photos. Not a template with your name dropped into it.
On your own phone, in your own time. If you like it we carry on. If it is not for you, no hard feelings and you have not paid a penny.
One payment, the site goes live on your own domain, and it belongs to you outright. No subscription, no lock in, nothing leaving your account monthly.

Yes. I build it, you look at it, and if you do not want it that is the end of it. No invoice, no chasing. It is on me to make something worth paying for.
There is not one. Plenty of web companies tie you into a monthly contract so you can never leave and never really own your own site. I would rather build it, hand it over, and have you recommend me to somebody else.
A domain name costs around ten pounds a year and hosting a site like this is free. I set both up in your name so everything belongs to you rather than to me. If you already have a domain we keep it.
Small changes such as prices, photos or a new service, just ask and I will sort them. Anything bigger I will quote for first, so nothing arrives unexpectedly.
The mock up usually takes a couple of days. Once you say yes, the site is live within a week, assuming I have your photos and details.
It helps enormously and it is the single biggest thing that makes a site feel like yours. Photos off your phone are fine. If you have none I will build around what you do have and we can add them later.
